Join Bob and Lisa on a hosted fly fishing trip to
Argentina!
January 28 - February 7, 2010
We are currently taking reservations for our annual week of fly
fishing in Argentina. We will be with you at
San Huberto to assist
in any manner possible, while accompanying a different group of
anglers each day, allowing the guides to offer a more
personalized service. We will also help with pre-trip planning
and keep you up to date on current conditions as the trip
approaches.
From January 30 to February 6, 2010 we have reserved
all of Hosteria San Huberto, which is
located on the Malleo
River. In addition to the practically exclusive use of this fantastic
fishery, we will also fish Lago Tromen, the
lake that is the origin of the Malleo, with dry flies and nymphs
for cruising trout. We also float a very
remote stretch of the Alumine River with the option of an
overnight camp out.
There are many activities for those who like to fish, but would
like
to do more...
- Spend the morning, afternoon, or entire day at the
Exposicion Rural del Neuquen - the provincial state fair. Watch
the gauchos of the province compete in rodeo-style events, visit
vendors selling everything from ranch equipment and regional
apparel to wooden bowls, woolens, hand-
crafted knives and fine jewelry, and
enjoy a traditional asado with the local estancia
owners.
- Visit San Martin de los Andes and experience this lovely
town, shop it's many boutiques, and enjoy a wonderful lunch at
one of our favorite restaurants.
- Spend a day visiting a vineyard. Fly to the provincial captial
of Neuquen in the ranch's Cessna 206, drive to the Familia
Schroeder vineyard, tour the facility and have lunch in their
restaurant. Don't miss the dinosaur in the cellar!
- Take advantage of San Huberto's full-time masseuse and
yoga instructor. Enjoy a warm soak in the
lodge's wood-fired hot tub.
- A guided horseback riding tour of the ranch will take you to
places no fisherman has ever seen! Tours
can be arranged upon request.
